Is Bible Intake Important?
Romans 10:17 Faith comes from hearing the word of God.
Understand that. Faith comes from hearing God’s word. Where do you hear God’s word? At church maybe? A friend who is studying the Bible with you, or a mature Christian who prays with you on occasion. Verse 14 says “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” So we must hear God’s word to even have faith in it. Hebrews 11:6 tells us “And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”. So, you can’t please God unless you believe in him, and how can you believe in him if you have never heard of him?
If you want to please God, Bible intake is important.
